Whether you’ve never picked up a crochet hook or you’ve been creating blankets for years, there’s a place for you at our weekly crochet sessions in Penrith.

Our classes are relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Beginners can learn the basics of crochet with guidance from experienced volunteers, while more confident crocheters can work on blankets, share techniques and enjoy spending time with like-minded people.

Not ready to learn? That’s perfectly okay too.

There are plenty of other ways to help. Join us to sort donated granny squares into colour groups, match them into blanket designs, sew in ends, assemble completed squares or simply lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed. Every task, no matter how small, helps turn donated yarn into beautiful blankets for people in need.

Many of our volunteers come as much for the friendship as they do for the crochet. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, share a cuppa, learn a new skill and be part of a community making a genuine difference.

No experience is necessary—just bring yourself. We’ll provide the encouragement, plenty of laughs and a warm welcome.
